- Departure: Piste des Grattais above Lanslevillard (carpooling 9 km from the C.I.S.)
- Ascent to the Refuge du Vallonbrun by la Fesse d’en bas, then GR5 balcony trail to Marmottiéres and switchbacks in the slope to reach the rock engraved for nearly 4000 years.
- Descent via the uphill route to the refuge, then trail under the Rochers de la Fesse.
